Now, one thing I have been thinking about is whether I need to maybe update the drivers on the server to enable this sort of functionality but I would need to unplug my server and bring it into my office to connect it via USB to be able to complete the installation. I don't have a firewall here and it's only a switch that separates the connection between the multifunction and the server it self. the settings above are all you need to fill in but I just keep getting network error messages so that's why I think its the server. I've done heaps of testing and I can't seem to get the multifunction to talk to the server. I'm not sure out of SMB or FTP which is the best option.all I do know is that i just cannot seem to get it working. It just saves huge amounts of data travelling over our internet twice and clogging i just want our printer/scanner/copier to send scans to a folder on my server which everyone has access to. I don't really need the files to be available over internet.
